we are getting married!

We started out strangers, Benjamin and I (Ruthann) met when I was invited to teach kids at a church retreat in the countryside and Benjamin's father was asked to preach at this same retreat. One night teaching, more kids than what was expected showed up to class and I needed some extra help so a friend of mine went and got Benjamin to help with the class. We were both very impressed with each other and you could even say we were crushing on each other a little bit. We spent the next 2 days together just chatting and getting to know each other while at this retreat. When the retreat ended we parted ways and didn't talk for a couple years, it would be a casual hi or how are you on social media but not much more than that. Almost 2 years ago that same friend that went and got Benjamin for the kids class texts me and asks me to help him with a youth zoom activity. Little did I know that Benjamin was also asked to participate, about half way through the zoom youth group Benjamin sends me a private message and right like that we hit it off and started chatting like we never stopped. We spent 9 months of texting and video calls before he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we then proceeded to spend the next 6 months of "officially" dating before he proposed on Christmas day. This is how are story starts, and we are beyond excited on how God will write the rest of the story of our lives.
