As of now, Illinois is allowing gatherings of up to 250 people, which means we will be able to have our full wedding! In accordance with CDC guidelines, we will not require fully vaccinated guests to wear a mask. If you would still like to wear one, you are welcome to do so. We do need to keep track of who is vaccinated, so please let us know when you RSVP.
We are going for dressy casual for this event. Cocktail dresses, button-down shirts, and pants are all appropriate. You can even wear fancy jeans with a nice shirt and jacket. No need to wear a floor-length gown or a three-piece suit.
The beef option is short ribs, the fish option is a maple-glazed salmon, and the vegetarian option is lasagna. Everything will be served "family-style," so the count is to ensure that we have enough of each. All three are delicious! The food is NOT from a kosher caterer, so if you only eat kosher meat, go for the fish or vegetarian.
You shouldn't have an issue securing a rideshare from the airport to the hotel. It is about a 30 minute drive. Elgin, however, is a suburban area, so calling Ubers or Lyfts once you are there may take pre-planning if you don't want long waits. Elgin is not walkable, so if you plan on exploring the area, you will need to either use a rideshare or rent a car. You will not need to worry about getting to and from the wedding, as there will be hotel shuttles.
