How We Met

High School Sweethearts

We met in 9th grade English class. I remember seeing Dallas on the first day of high school and thinking "He's cute, I'd date him, but that will never happen." Well I was obviously wrong because two weeks later, we got assigned seating next to each other, and a few months later he asked me out on a date and now 10 years later we're getting married!

The Proposal

5.14.2018

He was visiting me in Texas. We went to a Japanese garden that I love. At the garden, there is this bridge overlooking the water that's filled with lillypads and flowers. We stood at the middle of the bridge looking at the little turtles that were swimming. Then he told me to turn around and there he was bending down on one knee. He told me so many sweet things and then there was silence. I was waiting for the "Will you marry me?" part before answering. He looked at me and asked "Aren't you going to say anything?" and I said "You didn't ask anything". Then he asked very quickly and I of course said YES. So cute how he was so nervous that he forgot to actually ask the question :)

For all the days along the way
