Ruth and Zeke met at Concordia Chicago when they were on Wind Symphony tour together. They began to talk, and started dating only a couple of weeks later. They went on many walks together and enjoyed dates in Oak Park and downtown Chicago. They did long distance while Ruth was in England studying abroad, and enjoyed two more semesters on campus together. Ruth enjoyed going to Zeke's football games when she came back from England! On October 9th, 2025, during Ruth's last semester at Concordia, Zeke proposed to Ruth in downtown Chicago on the lakefront. In March of 2027, they will celebrate 3 years of being together! Ruth and Zeke will be married after Zeke graduates college in May of 2027. Zeke will be a high school teacher, and Ruth is an elementary school teacher. They are excited to begin life together as Lutheran teachers!
