We’ll be gathering high in the Colorado mountains, just over 8,700 feet above sea level. The roads are winding, the air is thinner, and time tends to slow down a bit. We recommend arriving early, drinking plenty of water, and giving yourself space to settle in, breathe deep, and enjoy the wide-open views.
All wedding weekend events will take place at The Steel Horse Inn in Villa Grove, Colorado. The venue is tucked into the mountains with big skies and quiet surroundings. Cell service can be limited, so we recommend downloading directions ahead of time.

Yes. Children are welcome, and we’re looking forward to celebrating with families together.
Travel and lodging recommendations can be found in the Travel section of our website. Summer is a busy season in Colorado, so we encourage booking early to find the place that suits you best.
Parking is available on site at the venue. Transportation will not be provided, so guests will need their own ride. If you’re coming from one of the recommended hotels or Airbnbs/VRBOs, rideshares and local taxis are available.
There’s no formal dress code. We want you to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy the weekend. June temperatures in Villa Grove typically range from 53–76 degrees, with cooler mornings and evenings. The venue sits at about 8,727 feet, so layers, sturdy shoes, and staying hydrated are always a good idea.
A casual buffet-style dinner will be served after the ceremony on Saturday. Friday’s welcome dinner is meant to be an easy, come-as-you-are evening to connect before the big day. We’ll have a make-your-own pizza bar, salad, and light refreshments. Please RSVP separately for the welcome dinner so we can plan accordingly. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout the weekend. Please drink responsibly, as alcohol can have stronger effects at elevation. Hydration goes a long way out here.
Your presence truly means the world to us, and we’re so grateful you’ll be sharing this time with us in the mountains.
