Then he created Ethan and I about 7 months apart. I was born on November 28, 2000 and Ethan was born on July 25, 2001. Our story started in the summer of 2017 when he thought that I was a boy texting his cousin. See Hannah and I are best friends, and I had asked her to come over to help me put up a swimming pool. We then hit it off and started to talk to each other and we soon started to have feelings. We started to date on September 2, 2017. Our first date consisted of eating Pizza Hut, and coming back home to watch the Big Bang Theory. Throughout our relationship I wasn't allowed to go to Kansas to see Ethan, so he would always make the trek to see me all the way up in Nebraska. Sometimes he would come up to see me just to do yard work with me most of the day. The moment I realized that Ethan was the one for me, was seeing how dedicated he was to me when I got grounded and my phone taken away, how he would drive 45 minutes just to see me for an hour or so, and his loving family. I am beyond blessed to grow with Ethan over the past 3.5 years together, and spend many more years with him.
It started when Ethan's father proposed to his mother. His father decided to propose to his mother on Christmas Eve next to the Christmas tree. Ethan had many different ways he was going to propose to me. He had back up plans after back up plans. It started with a family Christmas on Christmas Eve. He was supposed to propose in front of all of his family next to the Christmas tree. Due to Covid, we weren't able to have our family Christmas, so instead Ethan and I had Christmas at our house. This is how the night went: I come home from a 12 hour shift, all tired and worn out. Ethan had dinner ready, it was shrimp Alfredo with linguine noodles. He made spicy cajun shrimp. He had asked me to take the dishes back to the sink, and I felt something different. He had told me before dinner right when I got home to change into something appropriate in case he needed to video me. So that kind of hint made the night feel like something was about to happen. I had hinted to him about proposing on Christmas Eve because last year he got me a promise ring on Christmas Eve. I was taking longer than Ethan expected to rinse the dishes off in the sink so he came to me. He grabbed my hand and took me to the living room. I saw his parents through the giant window in our living room. Then he knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes.
