Picture it: South Jersey, 2013. Kim and Frank met the old-fashioned way ... ... Okay, okay we met online. It's up for debate on who messaged whom first (for the record, Frank messaged Kim), but immediately the conversation flowed. One of the most memorable parts of these first few exchanges was Frank sending a list of questions to Kim - right up her Type-A alley. Within a few days, we exchanged phone numbers, started chatting regularly, and Frank planned our first date. He chose Filomena's Lakeview for dinner, a restaurant we now visit annually on our anniversary. Kim took a few wrong turns on the way and was a bit late (the norm), but Frank was patiently (and anxiously) waiting for her outside. The date? January 19th, 2013. ...and like any good, old-fashioned story, the rest is history!
Seven years -- yes, seven -- to the day of their first date, Frank finally popped the question! That Saturday, Frank made reservations at Filomena's Lakeview for our annual anniversary celebration. "This is it," Kim thought. She was even talking to Christine, Frank's sister, earlier that evening about her predictions. Wrong. Drinks, dinner, and dessert all came and went without THE question being asked. The next morning, Frank made his famous home-cooked breakfast and brought it to Kim with the dogs not far behind. Frank got down on one knee, with June and Melvin on each side, and popped THE question. The date? January 19th, 2020. The answer? YES!!!
Philadelphia has always been a special place for us. Maybe it's the countless Phillies games we have attended over the summers together, or maybe it's the spicy margaritas we have shared at Lucha Cartel. When it came to our wedding, we knew it had to be in the city. We are so excited to share our love of Philadelphia with you and celebrate on October 22, 2021! See you in Philly!
