Will and Alexis met on April 18, 2023. Alexis was taking her first ever Brazilian Zouk series and decided to stay after for the weekly social. That same evening, Will had been dancing at the VMFA and stopped by later to join in. The moment their eyes met, they both felt something special, a spark they still remember vividly. Later that night, Will introduced himself and asked Alexis to dance. Their connection was instant. Over the next few Tuesdays, they found themselves subtly flirting and drawn to each other more and more. One evening, when the music faded and everyone else had gone home, they stayed behind, sitting on the floor talking for an hour that felt like minutes. When it was finally time to leave, Will walked Alexis to her car, but neither could say goodbye. They ended up sitting there for five more hours, completely lost in conversation. At one point, Will mentioned that he was vegan, and Alexis was completely shocked since she was too. In that moment, she thought, “Is this my husband?” At the end of their talk, Will asked her out to dinner for their first official date.
