In 2023, we matched on Hinge, but God had His own timing for us. It wasn’t until March 2024 that our paths really began to cross. Kyle noticed that Maddy wasn’t posting as much on social media, and through his gentle persistence, we finally made plans to meet. That June, our first time together was on a hike with Maddy’s friend’s family so everyone was able to get to know one another. The next couple of days were filled with church, exploring the Bible Museum, meeting Kyle's family and hours of conversation. Before heading back to Florida, Kyle asked Maddy to be his girlfriend, and from that moment, God began writing the sweetest chapter. We promised to see each other every two weeks, and He gave us the grace to keep that promise. Our love grew through late-night FaceTime calls, weekly Bible studies, intentional conversations, and a whole lot of airplane tickets. In September, after meeting Maddy’s family, Kyle asked her dad for his blessing. A few months later, in December, God painted a perfect sunset on the beach, where Kyle knelt and asked Maddy to spend forever together—trusting Him to guide every step of their journey ahead. In January, Maddy moved closer to Maryland, and weekend visits became the highlight of our weeks until, on our one-year anniversary, we stood before the Lord and said “I do.” Today, we’re so grateful to be building a life together in Potomac with our pup, Nova. Every step of our story has been a reminder of God’s faithfulness, and we cannot wait to see all He has in store for the chapters ahead.
