We got engaged in January 2020, a year no one will forget! We were celebrating our neice Riley’s birthday so we spent the day at an arcade in long branch and then went out for hibachi. When we got back to my parent’s condo in Long Branch all I wanted to do was put sweat pants on and lounge (I was sick with bronchitis). My mom tried to stop me but if you know me you know nothing can get in the way of me putting on sweat pants when I am tired. We decided to play the game Heads Up and as we are playing its eventually my turn to hold the phone and guess what it said on the screen. I am going through questions and then one comes up that says “Will you Marry Me?” and Max stands up and my Dad tosses him the ring box. He gets down on one knee and I am in pure shock! I had no idea what was happening and really couldn’t believe it. He asked me to marry him and I of course said YES! He pulled off a huge surprise with the help of our families which is very hard to do because I am typically the one who plans EVERYTHING! His family showed up as soon as he asked the question and we were surrounded by our family and friends for the rest of the night. It was really perfect!
