Things To Do

We love Pembroke for many reasons, especially its secluded charm. Here is a list of some of our favorite places to go downeast that you may enjoy in the morning before the wedding, or for the days that follow (depending on your trip dates)! Let us know if you have any questions!

Reversing Falls

Reversing Falls Rd, Pembroke, ME 04666

Only 3 miles from Lucia's childhood home, this area of the bay has reversing currents that create whirlpools and draw in the seals! Enjoy a quick hike around the park during the change of the tides!

Quoddy Head State Park

973 S Lubec Rd, Lubec, ME 04652

This park is as far east as you can go in the country! Lots of beautiful trails and a historic lighthouse to explore!

Bold Coast Trail in Cutler

425 ME-191, Cutler, ME 04626

If you're up for a short (or long) hike along the coast, take the Bold Coast Trail to some of Maine's highest oceanside cliffs, but don't stand too close!

Eastport

55 Water St, Eastport, ME 04631

Beautiful small ocean town filled with a handful of gift shops and restaurants. It may seem like a ghost town in the off season, but definitely make your way into Raye's Mustard Mill Museum if it's open, and Horn Run Brewery or the WaCo diner for a bite to eat.

Roque Bluffs Beach

145 Schoppee Point Rd, Roque Bluffs, ME 04654

Roque Bluffs beach is a beautiful sand beach just outside of Machias. Great place for a picnic or just a quick walk!

Jasper Beach

Port Rd, Roque Bluffs, ME 04654

Jasper beach is known for it's "singing rocks", all multi colored stones and pebbles that "sing" as the waves crash, however the locals ask that you please leave the stones at the beach!

Campobello Island

459 Route 774, Welshpool, NB E5E 1A4, Canada

If you have a passport and are staying for the whole weekend, visit Campobello Island: a beautiful Canadian island just off the coast of Lubec.
