One late December night in 2017 Chelsea was playing 3 card poker at South Point Casino and Hotel. She had just lost a few hundo in the poker room so she came out to the tables to find better luck. Every year Chelsea takes her mom to Vegas to gamble for her birthday. This particular year they chose not to stay on the strip due to the Route 66 shooting, Chelsea just wanted to feel a little more safe. Russell was living in Florida at the time. He was in Las Vegas this particular weekend to play a softball tourney. His buddies wanted to go out to a casino which happened to be South Point. He walked up to the 3 card table and Chelsea spotted him coming from a mile away. Her thoughts, " I hope he sits down!!" Russ came up and says to Chels, "Do you need some help over here?" Chels replied "SURE DO, take a seat!" They chatted, drank and gambled all night. There was an older lady at the table giving Russ a hard time for his "game" or lack thereof... She said "you probably don't even remember her name".. Russ answers quickly, "Yes I do! It's Rachel!"........................... umm obviously that was WRONG! Lol Even though he forgot her name or half of it anyway... CHELsea...raCHEL.... half right. Haha Chelsea knew he was the one that night. She just had a feeling. She blew up her friends with texts that she met her future husband. They thought she was nuts but here we are... sharing their story for their wedding. They quickly became exclusive and Russ knew he needed to make the move to Utah to see how this could go.. they bought their first home on RACHEL DR! What are the odds?? Haha it was meant to be.
