Anna and I met for the first time at a friend's New Years' party while I was still going to Mississippi State University. I was intrigued by this red-headed, quick-witted, firecracker of a girl, so I struck up a conversation, basic pleasantries, "What do you do? Where did you go to school"? and the like. We got along pretty well, and I left that evening wishing I didn't live 3.5 hours away. Fast forward to 2019, I've moved back home and started going to a weekly "Career Aged" bible study. During this time, Anna had become close with some mutual friends of ours and was coming to the study as well. As time goes on Anna and I grew closer and started talking and hanging out outside of larger group events. Eventually, I worked up the courage to ask her on a date, and we went to Angels Island for coffee and to engage in some deeper conversation. Thankfully, this coffee date went very well, and we had more dates afterward! The next big milestone was in 2020, November 7th, when I embarked on our biggest date yet, and I took her to see the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga and to visit Covenant College on Lookout Mountain. That's where I asked her to be my girlfriend! I also came down with Mono that day, but overall I'd say it was a win. So yeah, I got to date this incredible girl, who anyone would tell you is smart, funny, and incredibly kind. It should surprise no one that it was an easy decision for me to decide to marry her, all I had to do was ask, which I did, on her favorite holiday no less, October 31st, 2021. She said Yes! That was the happiest day of my life, and I cant wait for our future together!
