Russell and I got married in 2020. As many of you remember, it was unusual times. While Russell and I could've waited till things normalized to get married, we didn't want to wait. Already living together, blending our families and children, while also having a child of our own, our hearts couldn't wait another day to get married. So we had our Covid wedding with no guests, and a very small, intimate dinner celebration afterwards. Which brings me to Italy. When I was in college my grandparents rented a villa in Italy for our entire family to stay in to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I instantly fell in love with the country and anytime I think of Italy, I can't help but to think of my grandparents and their love for one another. Having a wedding redemption, or celebration of love, in Italy couldn't seem more fitting. This is not a wedding. This is not a vow renewal. This is our chance to say the vows we never got to say in front of our closest circle of people. This is our chance to show our children this amazing place and hopefully give them memories to think back on and remember our love for them and each other. This is our chance to recognize everyone who can join us and their love for one another. This is a celebration of love.
