Thanks for asking! The state of NC requires masks to be worn indoors at businesses, regardless of vaccination, unless actively eating or drinking. Please be respectful and wear a mask into Mass, into the Reception, and when you are in line for food or drink. Several bars and restaurants downtown are also requiring to see vaccination cards before admittance - so be sure to snap a photo of yours before you get here if you're wanting to do your own exploring! If you have any questions just let us know!
It depends! We are budgeting for 90minutes, but traditionally it's right around an hour.
Meredith and Anthony are both Catholic, and both feel the best way to start off their marriage is to have their wedding performed within the Sacrifice of the Mass. If you haven't been to a Catholic Mass before and want to know more, text Mere and she'll be more than happy to step you through it! It means a lot that you will be there to celebrate the most important part of our wedding!
The short answer is no. There are lots of tradition and rules surrounding this answer, and Mere is happy to explain if you'd like! But if you aren't a practicing Catholic, you are free to join us in spiritual communion from your seat. Deacon John and Fr. Britton will go over this during the Mass as well.
If you are - you'll be contacted personally! Thanks for checking!
Absolutely! We would love to have them! Our menu is kid friendly (pizza!), but it is an "adult" celebration
Hotel and Church: Plentiful and Free! Reception: It's a short uber ride from the hotel, there is also a free shuttle from the hotel to Downtown, and there is a super close parking lot that is a $3 flat fee. Paid Lot: Pass the Funkatorium on your right, at the stop sign take a left, the lot will be on your left in about a block.
Spotty. The key is to order ahead by about 20 minutes. A good cue would be: you hear last call, order that Uber to pick you up in 30-45minutes and you will have no trouble.
Of course it is. The bar is open for 5hrs, and it includes six Wicked Weed craft beers, wine, and bourbon hand selected by Anthony. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for consumption and mixing.
Nope! This is a cocktail style reception. So we have appetizers, pizza, cookies, and the bar. No formal dinner, no seating chart, no awkward conversations with people you don't know!
Easy: come as you are. Change into comfy clothes (or don't!), and come down to the conference room at the hotel. It is BYOB, fingers crossed we'll have some pizza leftover, and if not we'll figure out some snacks. Casual hang to just continue celebrating for those who wish to.
As soon as you are sure you’re coming. Asheville in the fall is heavy for tourists, so whether you decide to be at the hotel, or grab an Airbnb - you should definitely book sooner rather than later!
