He finally asked!

Russ and Taylor met at a pool party at Jody’s house — a work party for their dads — when they were in elementary school. What started as a random summer afternoon turned into a lifelong connection. They grew up as best friends, spent years denying their very obvious “arranged marriage,” and somehow became each other’s go-to for relationship advice. From attending each other’s graduation parties, to babysitting Claire, to endless pick-ups and drop-offs at Mick and Tracy’s house, their lives stayed intertwined through every stage. They even went on a date in 2016, but timing had other plans and long distance wasn’t in the cards just yet. Eventually, Russ finally got the courage — with a swift kick in the rear from his sister — to confess his undying love for Taylor. After that brave moment, Taylor then proceeded to not reply for two full days due to work… and, well, obviously being Taylor. Thankfully, patience paid off. The rest is history. Since then, they’ve bought a house together, added a few dogs along the way, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
