Russell and Jessica first met in 2009, while Russell and Jessica’s brother were visiting Seattle during a holiday break. Over the years, they would periodically see each other at social gatherings, holidays, and chance encounters, always making time to chat. The most auspicious was the completely unintentional bump in the middle of a NYC Times Square cross walk in 2016. Jessica had a strong intuition that this was more than just a random occurrence and told her friends she “knew she would marry Russell Greenfield.” Years later, Russell and Jessica, both having moved to the east coast, started casually talking. They finally had their first date in 2021 at a mutual friend’s wedding. Since that weekend, the two have been inseparable. Russell surprised Jessica on November 13th, 2022 with a proposal upon his return from an overseas deployment. After almost 15 years of just friendship, the two are beyond excited to start their lives together as a married couple.
