While both attending GVSU, there was a snow storm that canceled classes. Morgan’s sister, Shelbi, invited her to a coffee shop concert on campus to see Howie Day perform. On the other side of campus, Caleb was being convinced to drive his friend Chris to the same concert. Both groups, separately, trekked through the snow to attend the concert. At the end of the show, friends, Shelbi (Morgan's sister) and Chris (Caleb's friend) bumped into each other and struck up a conversation. Awkwardly standing next to the two of them were 18 year old Morgan and 19 year old Caleb. They introduced themselves, but that was about it. Because of the snow, Chris offered for Caleb to drive the girls home. The four of them piled into Caleb's silver, Sebring Convertible and headed to Morgan's dorm. During the few minute drive, Morgan was chatty in the backseat, asking questions to try and get to know the cute boy driving her home. Once he dropped Morgan off, she immediately texted Shelbi, "THAT IS MY NEXT BOYFRIEND." 2 weeks later, Morgan walked into a party and immediately saw Caleb and knew she had to go say hi. The two hit it off right away, playing pool and foosball for hours. Before the night ended, he asked her on a date and the rest is history!
Morgan’s family was visiting Caleb’s parent’s house for a weekend on the lake before the summer ended. About 2 hours after everyone arrived, Caleb asked Morgan to go talk. The two walked to the end of the boat dock during sunset to “talk”. Both families hung back on the patio watching as Caleb read Morgan a sweet letter he had written and got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! Morgan was compeltely suprised! Although she hoped the question was coming soon, Caleb and all of his accomplices were sure to throw her off with lots of lies. The two jumped right into wedding planning and are so excited to get married in Fremont at one of their favorite places with their favorite people!
