From the heart of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the city of Bujumbura, our story quietly unfolded as destiny guided every step. We, Rushingika Donald Mulavya and Marie Sandrine Bakambamba, grew up sharing the same culture, values, and dreams rooted in our Congolese heritage. In Bujumbura, what began as friendship blossomed into a deep and meaningful love built on faith, respect, and joy. Even as life led us on different paths, our bond only grew stronger, proving that true love knows no distance. Now, by God’s grace, we begin a new chapter together in Iowa, USA, where we will unite in marriage.
