Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 25. You can RSVP on our website or by calling or texting Kali (734) 474-6671 or Ryan (563) 203-0987.

Question

What are the on-site lodging options?

Answer

We welcome all of our guests to "glamp" with us at POV Resort! You are also welcome to stay at a nearby hotel or vacation rental home. Please visit the POV Resort website for more details. Please do not book directly with the resort. We will assign lodging to everyone that is staying with us at POV Resort and you will receive notification to arrange payment. There are 13 cabins, ten 2-bedroom units that sleep six, two studios that sleep four, and one 3-bedroom that sleeps six. There are 15 rustic camping units including eight luxury tents, six vintage campers, and one BYOT (or pop-up camper) site.

Question

I'm staying in a POV cabin, what is provided?

Answer

All cabins are equipped with the following kitchen amenities: stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dinnerware, glassware, flatware, utensils (i.e., spoons, spatulas), mixing bowls, cutting board, pots and pans, coffee maker and filters, Keurig, toaster, trash bags, dish soap and scouring pad, hand sanitizer, cleaning spray, and paper towels. The bedrooms are equipped with linens (sheets, blankets, comforter) and 1 set of dishcloths and towels for the week (for indoor use only). Sleeper sofa linens and cribs are available upon request - please let the resort know in advance. The bathrooms include a bathmat, 1 set of facecloths, hand towels, and body towels for the week (for indoor use only), a hair dryer, hand soap, toilet paper, and trash bags. Plan to bring your own shampoo, body soap, and lotion. The cabins are also equipped with several outdoor items, including a picnic table, gas grills (gas included), charcoal grills (charcoal for sale at POV Store), grill utensils, and one bundle of firewood.

I'm staying in a tent or camper, what is provided?

Answer

All tents and campers are equipped with beds (some units also have futons), chairs & tables, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, indoor and outdoor lighting, basic electric, space heater, charcoal grill, grill brush, picnic tables and benches, chairs, firepit, and hammocks. Please note that there is no running water or appliances in the tents or campers*. There is a 24-hour (very clean!) bathhouse with toilets and showers for use by all campers. *The airstream (glamper #13) has a microwave and mini-fridge.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Outdoor dressy casual for the ceremony and reception on Saturday. We would love to see you in your best outfits! Please wear comfortable shoes for walking on grass and uneven ground. The bride and groom will be dressed up and you're all invited to join us in formal attire too. No dress code for Friday and Sunday activities.

I'm camping, what should I plan to eat and bring?

Answer

If you're in a tent, yurt, or camper, you will need to plan for food accordingly. There are shared charcoal grills and fire pits. You may also choose to bring a camp stove kit. We recommend bringing food for breakfast, lunch, at least one dinner, and snacks for the weekend. We will provide you with dinner on Saturday evening. Visit https://povresort.com/what-to-bring/ for more camp cooking ideas! We'll be outdoors all weekend!! Please plan accordingly. We have included a brief packing list below, and encourage you all to tailor it to your needs. Essentials and Extras: shower shoes, hygiene kits, toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, chargers, earplugs, books, and games/cards. Kitchen/Food: paper plates, napkins, foil, coffee, sugar/spices, food, beverages, and snacks. Outdoor Items: picnic tablecloth, charcoal, lighter, kindling/paper/lighter fluid, citronella candles, beach towels, camp decor, camp chairs, lawn games, hiking boots, sandals, fishing gear, and boating gear. Camping Gear: cooler(s), kitchenware, cookware, garbage bags, lantern, lighter/matches, water jug, dish washing pail, soap, sponge, flashlight, headlamp, fan, warm clothes, knife, water bottles, towels, and hand sanitizer.

I'm staying off-site. When should I plan to be at the resort?

Answer

All are welcome anytime Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning before you leave town. Please plan to be there at least during the times of the events you are planning to attend (see your invitation for further details).

What activities are available at the campground?

Answer

Bring your boat, rent a kayak, play basketball, volleyball, or at the playground! Board games, cards, and a pool table are available in the recreation room.
