Karlee has been offered a job at Deloitte in London, UK! The couple will be moving there in September 2020. They are very excited for their international adventure and the opportunity to travel and grow together! As you can imagine, they won’t be able to take very much with them (think of trying to fit your whole life in a few suitcases :P). So while we appreciate many of our family and friends’ desire to get us gifts, we ask that you consider giving cash or Venmo (@RushWedding2020) gifts to help support us with our moving expenses. We are also registered at America First Credit Union. To add funds to our AFCU wedding account, you may go to any AFCU branch or call 1-800-999-3961 and reference either of our names to locate the right account.
The couple met when they were both working in the online department at Lee's Marketplace. While Karlee first noticed Dean's fun personality and great storytelling, she was won over by his kindness, sensitivity, and empathy. She had to make the first move and in classic romcom fashion, Dean wasn't very good at picking up the hints. Especially when he learned she would be leaving for several months to do an internship in London. However, after Karlee's internships and almost a year apart, God arranged their paths to cross again, and they picked up right where they left off and started dating in November 2019.
Since we knew each other for a while before we actually started dating its hard to agree on what actually counts as the "first date." I remember fondly when we went to see the Christmas light show in Tremonton. It's fun to look back at that time when I was kind of starting to like this guy but had no idea how much he would mean to me in the future.
Dean threw it back to the 80s by posing outside my house with a boombox playing some of our favorite songs including Beautiful by Eminem and All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera. He had coordinated so well with my family that I really had no idea that it was going to happen that day. I thought he was going to be in Pocatello with his Grandpa and that I was going to be taking graduation pictures with my brother Brock and his girlfriend Katie. Afterwards we celebrated over dinner with our families. It was so sweet and a great surprise!
