How Katie & Adam Met

We should send Bumble a thank you card

How do two people meet in the middle of a pandemic you ask? They resort to dating sites! Katie & Adam didn't have a lot of options to meet new people with most of the world shutdown so they decided to make the brave decision to join a dating site. For those of you who met the traditional way, let's take a few seconds to review how a dating site works: if you swipe left, it's a hard no; if you swipe right, it means you're interested. If both parties swipe right, you get a notification that you have a "match!" The catch? The girl has to initiate the conversation within a certain time or the "match" disappears. On a sunny Wednesday afternoon in the middle of July, after (a lot of) swiping left, Katie & Adam get a notification that they have a match! After careful consideration, Katie decides to slide into Adam's DM's and it did not take long for that man to reply. They hit it off pretty quickly, never running out of things to talk about. Katie uses the excuse that the app drains her phone battery and gave Adam her number. Adam is a smart man and didn't waste any time saving her number and texting her, continuing right where they left off from the app. Adam doesn't take long to ask Katie to go on a date. He asked her if she wanted to get tacos and drinks. If anyone knows Katie, they know tacos are the way to her heart. Adam didn't know it yet, but Katie was hooked from that moment. Their first date turned into a second date, which turned into a third date then Adam proclaiming himself as Katie's boyfriend 2 weeks later. It was the perfect beginning to a life long love story.

The Proposal

It Was More Than Just Dinner

While in Puerto Vallarta for Katie's birthday, Adam was secretly planning his opportunity. Upon arrival Adam talked with the concierge to arrange a private dinner on the beach at sunset, he would set up a photographer to come by and act like it was included in the dinner. Adam was extremely nervous and the waiter could tell, pouring him a flute of Tequila. As dinner was finished and the Tequila taking the nerves out of Adam, they walked to the beach with the photographer, he asked them to go back to back, unknowingly to Katie he dropped to one knee and and the rest is history.
