The short answer is no. Since all of you come from every corner of the world, we are already of great gratitude for your presence. We don't want you to spend anything more besides your traveling. However, if the gift is not costly and is small enough for us to carry, then we may accept it with no encouragement.
The beginning of reception is around 1:30 pm, and you don't want to miss it. We would suggest that you come to Switzerland on July 3rd and stay in a nearby city or Thun the night before the wedding day. You can take a train easily from Zurich, Geneva or Bern on the morning of July 4. If you arrive earlier than 1:30 pm, you can drop the luggage at hotel first and have a quick lunch before joining our event. Or, if you arrive one day earlier, you can take a walk in the lovely town in the morning before joining us in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, we don't offer lunch. You can either have a simple lunch or a brunch before joining us. We will have some refreshments and ice cream prepared for you at reception. We will also provide drinks and snacks on the boat!
The dress code is smart casual, and we recommend that you choose light colors such as light blue, green, yellow, and grey (please find them on the separate invitation). These will fit perfectly with our color themes. If you really don't have those colors, you are free to dress at your will but please avoid very bright colors like scarlet red, pink, electric blue, etc. Please note that July in Switzerland can be really warm during the day but a bit chilly at night. We don't need gentlemen to be dressed in blazers, which might suffocate you. You are free to choose anything comfortable so that you can enjoy the event with us! For our Harry Potter dinner, you can choose your outfits with any elements that may link to the theme. For example, you can dress in the color of the house table. We have Ravenclaw blue, Gryffindor red, Slytherin green, and Hufflepuff yellow. Or you can pick the bowtie/tie that we will provide at the entrance of your house. Or you can dress in anything funny and wizarding. Please feel free to ask us for any questions. You will have time to change your clothes after the ceremony. If you don't want to change, that's totally fine as well! we will give you tie/bowtie/accessories at entrance.
We don't have any collective events planned. We, accompanied by our family will have brunch in Schloss Schadau on the next day. Please feel free to come to say goodbye if you want. Seepark hotel will also provide breakfast for all of you :)
