Hi my name is…

June 10th, 2014

It was just another workday at Kroger. I remember starting my day outside on carts only to suddenly notice a red mustang pull into the parking lot. From a distance this guy looked like a familiar co worker so as I started to approach I immediately realized this man was wayy to tall. Minutes after I get inside I noticed the same tall man standing at the front desk. I quickly realized that he must be a new associate so I put on nice smile and made my way up to him to introduce myself. It was a very special day for me since it was my first day at my first job ever. I wanted to make a good impression so I arrived early. I parked and headed toward the front desk where I met my manager and then I hear, "Hi, I'm Ebone!" with a wonderful smile. "Hi....I'm... Steven..." I respond, with a forced smile. I quickly convince myself that I was smooth completely ignoring that my face turned a light shade of pink. A few hours pass and I sought out Ebone to get her phone number... "for work purposes". As I was getting ready to leave I bump into Steven. He asks.. “Can I get your number? Just in case for work purposes”. Steven was very professional so I went home thinking none of it. I’m at home getting ready for dinner when I hear my phone go off. It was a text from Steven I’m thinking “Why am I smiling so hard?” Anyways I responded “Heyy :)” then I look at my clock and it’s almost 2am?! Have we really been talking this whole time?? Since I knew Steven and I had the same shift the next day. I was all of sudden excited for work! Next thing I know, a couple months flew by in a flash. I was having so much fun I lost track of time. I had very strong feelings for Ebone and I wanted to make it known, so I asked her out on an "best-friend" date, although I knew deep down it was something more. The summer I spent with Steven was by far one of the greatest summers of my life. I could tell there was something blossoming between us. Steven was hands down the boy version of me. We talked about everything, laughed at the same jokes (SpongeBob puns in particular). The connection we had was on a whole another level. It was magical. It was real love and I was falling hard. Her and I really connected at Buffalo Wild Wings and we decided we didn't want the night to b over, so we went to Sport N' Fun for Go-Karts. That day was the day we were both truly ourselves and I would say that I loved her from that exact moment. Then... the rest is history. :)
