Our story is one of timing. We went to undergrad together at UNC Chapel Hill. We knew the same people, went to the same churches, and our families had mutual circles. However, we met officially at a friendsgiving party back in November 2016. Our first conversation at the friendsgiving was about the Green Party, Jill Stein, and the elections. We had differences in opinions but we were so captivated by each other. During our first date, we went to see "Get Out" and ate Thai food for dinner. From that point on, we knew things could go further. We have been together for about five years and three of which were long distance. The hardest part of our relationship was remaining long distance through the peak of the pandemic. With persistence and love, we managed to grow our relationship with ourselves, each other, and God. We are thrilled and blessed to be entering a new chapter in unity.
