When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs are live! RSVPs are due by March 4th, 2025.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please visit ‘Registry’ page on our website. We’re registered at Crate and Barrel, Target and Zola.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Answer

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Absolutely! Dinner will be served at the beginning of the reception. Please note your meal selection when you RSVP. There will also be an open bar during cocktail hour and reception.

Will there be a vegetarian or special diet option?

Answer

Yes. Please indicate if you need a vegetarian meal when you RSVP to help us know how much to order. For any allergies and dietary restrictions, please contact us in advance.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We arranged discounted rates at SpringHill Suites Chicago Schaumburg. Please visit our 'Travel' page for reservation links.

Why do we need separate bookings for hotel?

Answer

You will need to book separate reservations for the shoulder dates which are Thursday 4/3 and Sunday 4/6 if you're planning to stay outside of the main wedding dates which are Friday 4/4 and Saturday 4/5. This is because the rates differ for shoulder dates and main dates. The links applicable are included in our 'Travel' page. If you prefer, you can book your reservations by phone (847-995-1500) and mention "Ruiz Szafarz Wedding Event" to receive discounted rates.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, two shuttle runs will be available from hotel to venue and from venue to hotel. Shuttles time to be announced. If you miss the shuttle, we recommend using Uber or Lyft.

Is there parking at the hotel and venue?

Answer

The hotel offers complimentary parking for guests. There is a complimentary parking garage next door to the venue as well as street parking. We recommend using our shuttles or ride share apps to avoid driving to venue.

What are the venue's directions?

Answer

Arlington heights Rd north to Sigwalt road. Go left to Vail. Go right to address. Parking is free next door in the Vail Street Garage on the 5th floor.
