Since we aren't going the traditional route, we will need an RSVP sooner than usual. This is because flights and rooms need to be booked as soon as possible. An RSVP by September 1 would be greatly appreciated! Sooner than that would be even better. :)
We've hired Brice Lott as our personal travel agent for this wedding, and he will be handling all of the travel bookings. Whether you know exactly the flight and room you want or have no idea where to even start, Brice will take care of the details for you. :) Customize the flight, room type, length of stay, and insurance you want and Brice will do all the hard work for you. He's the best! Once you RSVP, Brice will reach out to you personally to explain the booking process.
I know with the recent news there might be some worry about traveling out of the country. We've done extensive research and have talked to Brice and are 110% confident in our travel choice! Brice has sent many of his clients to the Riviera Maya area, and highly recommends it over busy, tourist-packed Cancun. This resort is highly rated, quiet, and safe and we have no concerns about our stay. If you have any worries at all just contact us or Brice!
We worked together with Brice for months to find a location that would fit the budget of all of our guests. The Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort is absolutely breathtaking, and is much more affordable than many other similar resorts. Guests who stay the recommended dates (5/30 to 6/3) can expect right around $450 per person for the resort, with the flight prices varying in addition to that. We're expecting right around $900-1000 per person. We know we are asking a lot from our guests by having a destination wedding, which is why we want to be as transparent and helpful as possible. If you have concerns about the cost, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We will do everything we can to help get you there for our special day. Keep in mind that although it is a lot as a total, this will cover all of your transportation, hotel stay, food, and drinks at the resort since it is an all-inclusive. Please reach out to Amy or Nick for any concerns, and Brice for any payment details.
Yes, all guests will need a valid passport to travel to Mexico. We recommend you do this as soon as possible, as it takes a couple of months to come in. More information on how to get or renew a passport can be found here: https://www.usa.gov/passport
Since this is a destination wedding, we are asking that only those who are married or engaged bring a plus one. If you have any issues with this just reach out to either one of us!
Nope! We know we're asking a lot from our guests by having a wedding in Mexico, so traditional wedding cards and gifts are not accepted- we just want you there!
Absolutely not! Nick and I have each invited immediate family and close friends, and we want each of you to enjoy your own vacation while you are there! We are planning a couple of group dinners/events, and then of course the ceremony and reception, but other than that you are free to do your own thing at the resort. This is your vacation too!
Yes! We've chosen a resort that is very family friendly for all of Nick's nieces and nephews, as well as our guests with kids. Whether you decide to bring your kids or travel without them is completely up to you! Brice will help explain the child discounts/special services at the resort.
One of the reasons we chose the Grand Palladium is because it is an all-inclusive resort. No matter the amount of Mexican food, cocktails, or beer you consume, it is all included with your room price. That being said, we do encourage you to bring some $1's for tipping. Although it's not required, the staff works so hard to provide the best experience possible, and greatly appreciates a few bucks here and there. We recommend a couple of dollars per day for housekeeping, a few dollars for drink tips, as well as a dollar or two for servers. Other than that, only bring $ if you'd like to do any shopping or additional excursions. Everything else is paid for with your ticket!
We're recommending guests travel 5/30 to 6/3, but you can most definitely customize your trip to your liking. If you're concerned about costs or taking time off work, leaving a day early may work for you. Keep in mind that travel will take a good portion of the day, so consider flight times if staying shorter than we recommend. If you'd like to stay longer, feel free to do so! Just talk to Brice about the dates you're interested in.
