Flight
SRQ (Sarasota Airport) is by far the closest airport to the Island, about 10 miles away and is the airport we recommend flying into. Uber and rental cars are available, we will also be there if a ride is needed and we aren't busy running around with final details. The wedding falls on a Sunday, so most people will be flying in Thursday or Friday and staying until Monday, however, we will be down there for the entire week prior to the wedding if anyone wants to make a vacation out of the wedding and come early. If a bit of a drive isn't an issue, Tampa (TPA) airport is about 50 miles, and St. Petersburg- Clearwater (PIE) airport is about 35 miles.
House Or Rental
If there is a large group that wants to stay together a rental home may be a great option. Staying on Anna Maria Island is the best way to go due to the convenience, though Longboat Key and Bradenton are just over bridges. Searching Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Coquina Beach and Ann Maria Island are very helpful on sites like VRBO. Note that Bradenton, Longboat Key and Sarasota are very close to Anna Maria Island, but you will have to drive or uber to get onto the Island if you choose to stay in those locations.
