The very first time we met was at Amalie Arena for a high school state championship hockey game. We spent the night eating stadium pretzels and making fun of high schoolers; turns out laughter is the best ice breaker. After a very awkward goodbye (thanks to my backup girls that were there) we said the typical "I had a great time we should do it again, text me when you get home?" and then we both left for an hour drive home. I stopped at a gas station about 10 miles towards home because I just couldn't wait the entire drive home to text him. After getting my snap notification, he debated on opening it for most of the drive home worried I said something like "That was fun but this isn't going to work out text". But I actually said " I didn't wanna wait till I got home to text you, thanks for coming tonight *heart emoji*". And the rest is history...

The biggest goal with the engagement was to actually surprise Morgan, we were all worried she would catch on and be able to tell. We went to the place that we had a first kiss at so I thought it would be perfect for this moment. So on Fathers Day 2018( this is where we threw her off lol) I asked her to be my wife. Morgan's sister and I got in contact with the Wells family and had the kids make a sign that said "Will you marry me?". Her sister then put together a few old photos of the kids in an album with that has the last one. While we were all sitting at the table she pulled out her iPad and asked Morgan if she wanted to look at a few old photos of the Wells kids that their mom had sent her from time hop so Morgan thought nothing of this. She started scrolling through the photos when she got to the last one she looked at the picture and asked her sister "who is this for?" everyone was already looking at me down on one knee then she realized what was going on and of course said yes! and now we are #shiningintodeloach Decemeber 2018!!
