It all started with a swipe. It was in the middle of the pandemic and we were both coming out of less fortunate situations. We needed to learn to talk to people again and of course we both forgot how to date. What better way than downloading Tinder? We went from talking about dogs, to sending pictures of dogs to each other, to going on awesome adventures with the dogs. Hell, our first "date" was a play date for the dogs. We bonded over singing loudly on road trips, relaxing and sleeping in on weekends, Erin’s cooking and Rudy’s ability for taste testing. Geting goosebumps when the Riders of Rohan show up in Two Towers, and laughing louding at each others antics. When our familes welcomed each of us with open arms, we decided it made the most sense to combine households. Erin bringing her 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon & Rudy with BB. Then, on our year anniversary, we had a whoops baby and adopted our fourth dog. Sometimes, it feels as though time is passing in a blurr, but at a snails pace simultaneously. We have to remind ourselves often that even though it has only been a little over a year since we’ve officially been together, it feels much longer. But, that must be what happens when you really find your other half: Love and everything that comes with it, just feels right.
