Old town, Rynek Główny, and the Wawel Castle are must sees. St. Mary's Basilica is also beautiful - make sure to catch the trumpet player who plays 'Hejnał Mariacki' at every hour. If you want a sweet treat, we love "Good Lood." ;)
Wieliczka salt mine is located approx. 20 mins from Kraków. Step into another world full of history, geology, and a network of tunnels and chambers carved from rock salt.
Miłość, Miłość w Zakopanem! Enjoy breathtaking views of the Tatra mountains and bathe in thermal springs in the town of Zakopane. Take a hike to see the Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy Lake - on your way up, you'll pass by an old Góral (Polish Highlander) village. Then, if you're up for a challenge, make your way to the top of the mountain where you can grab something to eat and then take the gondola back down. Morskie Oko is another popular lake you can hike to. There is also a great viewpoint of Zakopane and the Tatras at the Gubałówka ski resort. You can take a cable car to the top and enjoy the view with a beer. We stayed at Hotel Aquarion which provides access to thermal springs and a waterpark.
Krynica is a spa town and is known for it's natural mineral water. Visit the "Pijalnia Główna" and you can sample different mineral waters straight from the tap. Check out an observation tower - Wieża widokowa Krynica-Zdrój - by taking a ski lift up the mountain and enjoying a little walk while taking in the fresh air and great views. You can also take a cable car up to Restauracja Parkowa. They have food, drinks, coffee, and desserts, with walking paths and other activities such as slides in the area.
Make sure to grab a fun drink and a hot dog at the local Żabka amidst your travels!
