Victor's Version: I first saw Ruchi at a high school friend's apartment party. I thought she was beautiful and tried to unsuccessfully strike up conversation with her all night. For months following our first encounter, I couldn't get her out of my mind. In July 2018, we finally ran into each other again at a bar on the Lower East Side and I finally got the chance to ask her out. Ruchi's Version: I first learned about Victor when our mutual friend made me aware of his interest in me. She also had let me know that he had asked her countless times to invite me to fake events as an excuse to get us in the same room again. When we did finally end up at the same party together, a few months later, he approached me and introduced himself. I was immediately interested in the few minutes that we spoke, before he quickly left, only to return a little later to ask for my number. I'd later find out that his friends had encouraged him to come back and shoot his shot. He reached out the next day to ask me out on a date and I happily agreed.
