In 2021, they met through mutual friends online. On July 7th, 2021, they became a couple without ever meeting in person. After many months of late nights and early mornings communicating online, they finally met over Christmas 2021, when Austin made his first of many trips to Connecticut. Just two weeks later, Kayla made her first trip to Florida. The back and forth continued as their love grew, and on May 26th, 2022, Kayla officially moved to Florida. The rest was a whirlwind of firsts and exciting times: living together, adventures, college, new jobs, birthdays together, and navigating life. On March 11th, 2025, Austin asked Kayla to marry him, and she said YES!!!
