Přemysl Otakar II Square
This is the main square of České Budějovice where Jonáš is from - make sure you get to see what the biggest South Bohemian town is all about and have a taste of their original Budweiser beer (or known as Budějovický Budvar here).
Hluboká Castle
Hluboká Castle is a historic chateau located about 11km north of České Budějovice city centre. If you have a car, it is an easy 15 min drive; otherwise there is a bus or train that takes you straight there. Or you can make a nice day trip by taking one of those rental bikes from the city and ride along the river in less than an hour!
Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov is a beautiful historic town about 24km southwest of České Budějovice, dominated by its 13th century castle. Easy drive or train ride and a must see!
Lipno nad Vltavou
If you want to unwind in the nature, Lipno is a great spot for the summer with a massive lake set within the Šumava countryside. It is about an hour drive southwest from České Budějovice past Český Krumlov.
Prague Castle
If you're coming from overseas, definitely allocate a few days to visit Prague and all its historical sites - one of them being the Prague Castle.
Prague Astronomical Clock
The Prague Astronomical Clock or Pražský orloj is a medieval astronomical clock attached to the Old Town Hall in Prague, installed in 1410 making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest clock still in operation.
