Our mutual passion for music, specifically worship, brought us closer and closer over the years. As our love story truly started as us being great friends in the beginning. There was was no pressure in pretending to be someone we weren’t. We just showed up as ourselves and grew a deep love for one another. Flaws and everything. Our relationship took off in the midst of covid. Though the world was on shut down we took advantage and made this little world our own. From long cruises out to the city to home date nights watching movies or playing board games. The blessing behind our relationship beginning during covid was the fact that we were able to get creative. We made the best out of everything, especially the simplest of things. The best thing we’ve gained throughout our relationship was learning how scripture tells us to embody a fruitful marriage. Having respect for one another (Ephesians 5) Serve one another (Galatians 5) Expressing our love (Ephesians 5, 1 Corinthians 13) Living honorably (Romans 12:10) Edifying one another (Ephesians 5) Becoming one (Matthew 19) And so much more we expect to learn as the years come.
It was a very early morning (4:00am to be exact!) when we took off to a day trip in Monterey, CA. We arrived at our destination, Bixby Bridge at around 7:00am. We took a few pictures here and there and enjoyed the view in front of us. Not giving any importance to a couple “tourists” who seemed to be be doing the same as well. Little did Ruby know that, they were actually photographers in disguise ready to capture the moment. Shout out to you Sara!! This wouldn’t have been possible without your love and support. As Ruby had her back faced me, I got down on one knee ready for her to turn around and see the the ring. Everything about this moment was so beautiful and perfect. An unforgettable moment that we joyfully re-tell over and over again.
