We met on a Thursday night in February on Texas A&M's campus the end of our freshman year. We both applied for and were accepted to be counselors for a Texas A&M christian camp. We quickly became best friends, hanging out almost every day. 6 months later, Cason *finally* asked me on a date, and one week later he planned a very thoughtful date at Lake Bryan where we enjoyed a picnic dinner as we watched the sun set. Cason brought out his guitar and we sang along to worship music and some country songs. He then asked me to be his girlfriend.
Fast forward 1.5 years, Cason and I planned a family vacation over spring break so that our families could meet. We rented a lake house and enjoyed a few days together. On the last day, I came in from a grocery run with the girls to find a hand written letter from Cason telling me to get dressed and ready to meet him on the front porch for "one of the best days of our lives". I met him on the front porch where he walked me around the back of the lake house as he told me how much I meant to him (and all the sappy things). He walked me to a gazebo that was lined with lights, rose petals sprinkled on the dock, and pictures of our relationship lining the walls. He sang "our song" and a song that he wrote for me. He then took my hand and walked me to the dock over the lake where he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives, and we would love to celebrate this day with you. We love you and can't wait to see you there! Love, Ruby & Cason
