With us! Accommodations at Castello di Ristonchi are included as part of the wedding weekend. The castello has 30 apartments, from studio to 2-bedroom. Each apartment has a private bathroom and kitchenette. Some of the bathrooms are small and quirky, but that's the fun of staying in an old castle. When you wake up, you know you are in Tuscany! Some apartments in the tower have lots of stairs, but the best views! As guests RSVP, we will work with the castle to assign rooms. Ristonchi is a medieval castle surrounded by olive groves and a forest of chestnut trees and wild edibles. It's not the Four Seasons! There won't be daily cleanings, but all of the basics will be provided: clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap, shampoo. There is no air conditioning in this 1000 year-old building. The thick stone walls and fresh mountain breeze should keep you comfortable, or there is a fresh mountain spring water pool that will definitely do the trick! If this sounds like a nightmare to you, you may book a more modern villa near the castle (you'll probably need a rental car). See below for a few that are recommended by the venue. We'd really love everyone to stay on-site and take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a weekend in a Tuscan castle! *VILLA GRASSINA: 5 mins by car or 20 mins walk (on a forest road - don't walk at night) www.villagrassina.it *VILLA CERTINA: 2 mins by car or 9 mins walk. https://www.rurality.it/agriturismi/firenze/agriturismo-casa-vacanze-certina *FLORENCE HILLS RESORT & SPA: 10 mins by car https://www.theflorencehills.it/en/ **If making a reservation at any of these villas, please let them know you are part of a group at Ristonchi!

The basics are provided: clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap, shampoo There are no laundry facilities onsite. The castle staff can set up an ironing/steaming station for anyone needing to iron their clothes during their stay. Meals are provided and there is a bar and small shop where you can buy coffee, drinks, ice cream and snacks. Some events are open bar, and at others we'll provide wine and beer with additional beverages available for purchase - you can charge them to your room and pay upon check-out. Please do NOT bring outside food or beverages, but please DO bring a reusable water bottle - the castle strives to be sustainable and there is fresh spring water available right out of the tap! The castle is pretty secluded - there is no pharmacy, grocery or convenience store nearby. Please try to bring everything you'll need for the weekend (including medication) with you!
YES! The Castle's updated network consist of 6 ubiquity AP and delivers speed of 30/3Mb. There is wifi in the common areas and outside as well as in the Castello/Tower apartments. If you'll need consistent access to wifi throughout the weekend, please let us know when you RSVP so that we can assign your room appropriately.
Please take a look at the schedule of events and plan to bring clothing appropriate for each activity - casual clothes, pool attire, garden/cocktail attire for the wedding ceremony, etc. Keep in mind most activities will be held outdoors.
