Mutual friend and matchmaker extraordinaire, Pablo, thought Grace and Alex would be a cute couple, so he organized a bunch of friends to go out together in DC the night of Cinco de Mayo, 2018. Luckily, he was right because Alex and Grace hit it off and went on their first official date just a few days later. The rest is history!

Alex insisted that he and Grace have a date night in DC one Saturday night and wanted to "walk around on the Mall" beforehand. As soon as they pulled up to the Jefferson Memorial, one of Grace and Alex's treasured spots, Grace knew something was about to go down. They walked over to the water's edge in front of the monument and after waiting for the area to clear of tourists, he got down on one knee and popped the question. She emphatically said yes! Alex gave her his mother, Lianne's ring and Grace is honored to have such a special piece of her with her always.
