Lago de Coatepeque
2 hour 12 minutes away from the Wedding Venue. We have been here a few times. Its blue waters and high ecotourism offer make Lake Coatepeque one of our favorite destinations. Here you can practice kayaking, jet skiing, and diving. This volcanic lake has abundant natural wealth. Visitors can observe a great variety of resident and migratory birds or go fishing, diving, or ride a kayak, jet ski, or boat. In addition, the surroundings entice you to go hiking or mountain biking and relish the beautiful panoramic views covered with lush vegetation.
Santa Ana Volcano
2 hours 24 minutes away from the Wedding Venue. Ilamatepec, also known as the Santa Ana volcano, this colossus is the highest in the country, with an elevation of 2,381 meters, and is still “alive”. The last eruptions of the volcano date to 2005. The Ilamatepec forms part of the Los Volcanes Complex in the Apaneca mountain range, and climbing it is not complicated. Once at the top, you can see the crater or enjoy the views of Lake Coatepeque. The trip can also be performed at night in complete safety.
Lake Ilopango
1 hour 16 minutes away from the wedding venue. Just minutes away from the capital city is Ilopango Lake, the largest lake in El Salvador, of volcanic origin and ideal for diving, paddle surfing, kayaking, jet skiing, swimming, boating, fishing, or just to take a dip. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking or horseback riding, camping, or spending an unforgettable night in a rental house, hostel, or hotel. The lake´s shoreline and surroundings offer the best thematic restaurants with spectacular views. We recommend the Panoramic Route, with a variety of gastronomic options to enjoy your time and capture unforgettable images.
San Salvador
El Salvador's capital serves as the country's perfect starting point for any adventure, with multiple experiences to offer, such as recreation and exciting cultural offerings. Just 40 kilometers from the international airport, it houses charming boutique hotels and five-star establishments, museums, monuments, and residential neighborhoods. Excellent for shopping, it features modern malls with famous international brands, alongside great local offerings. The Historic Downtown area is the heart of the city. Surrounded by small businesses that offer a glimpse of the bustling commerce in the city, Downtown San Salvador is also an important cultural and historical center. With imposing plazas standing among venues such as the National Theater, the most important performing arts center in the country, the downtown is also home to the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace.
