Our story begins with one of my elementary school besties!!! Had it not been for Christella Ramirez we probably would have never crossed paths. Then just a childhood crush, me being 12 and he 16 made it impossible for us to have been together. But, who would have known… Being the brother of one of my good friends from elementary made it easy for me to satisfy my urge to see him. Beautiful smile, brown caramel skin, he was perfect in my young eyes… Then, school year ended and I relocated. Falling out of touch, I often wondered and questioned how he was and well considering the circumstances at the time couldn’t help but believe I’d never see him again. Fast forward a few years we were reconnected over a short telephone call between his sister and I. Eagerly waiting for her to pass him the phone, I acted as if I didn’t know what she was up too. Boy was I ecstatic to hear his voice at the other end of the line. We exchanged numbers and our relationship grew from there. For months we were the best of friends, late night talks on the phone, getting lost on crazy car rides. He made my butterflies flutter every time!! Our feelings for one another grew stronger and faster than either one of us could have ever imagined. Everything in our lives have led us to one another. Our choices, our heartbreaks, our regrets. And when we’re together our past seems so worth it. Because if we had done one thing differently, we might never have had the chance to meet again!!
