We’re FINALLY getting married!

We met at work when both of us opened a new restaurant in 2014. Ruben was a cook at the time and I was, well his boss. We spent a lot of time working, never really noticing each other. Until one day I decided to ask Ruben to go grab a beer and we have spent every day together since then. Who would've known we'd fall in love and build the life we have now.

Every year on Christmas Eve we play White Elephant with Rubens entire family. Luckily Christmas Eve 2018 my family decided to join (that should of gave it away). We started playing, explaining the rules to those who haven't played and handing out the numbers to see who would get called first. To my surprise Ruben's number was chosen first. He got up and grabbed a strange box that looked like maybe a tee-shirt was in it. He started opening it and I was leaning over his shoulder to see what he got so I could steal it. Before I knew it Ruben was on one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. The 30 people in the room watching were all in on it, I was completely shocked. Let's just say I ugly cried for what felt like forever. This was the best moment of my life. Ruben definitely won Christmas that year!
