Ruan and Monique first found each other in high school. Monique was at first very hesitant and wanted nothing to do with the relationship. With Ruan being Ruan, he didn't give up easily and after a full year of matric, at the end of the year on the 21st of December 2016, she finally said yes to being his girlfriend. Ruan then had a bit of revenge, taking his time and after more than 8 years together he proposed. This year marks 10 years of this wonderful couple and only the start of the rest of their lives together.
