Shazim's egging ceremony will take place at 4:30PM in the parking lot by the ballroom. Pithi: The Pithi celebration is commonly known as Haldi. It is a traditional ceremony that marks the day before the wedding. In the Pithi ceremony, the paste of Haldi (turmeric) is applied to both bride and groom. The significance of Haldi lies in its cleansing, and is said to be a soul and body cleanser. Sangeet: The word "Sangeet" means music, and is translated into an event for the wedding filled with song and dance. This musical night is a celebration of the union of not only the couple, but the bonding between both families. The Sangeet adds a lot of fun and color to the wedding weekend. There will be dance performances, music, and memories to be made.

The Muslim wedding, also known as the Nikkah ceremony, is the most important occasion. In the Islamic tradition, the marriage contract is signed during the Nikkah, performed at the Ismaili Jamatkhana, and it is during this event that the Bride and Groom say, "I do".
