What is the dress code?

Our wedding is joyful, vibrant cocktail attire—please don’t be shy about color! Think bright dresses, bold ties, fun patterns, or anything festive and full of life. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, with cocktail hour on grass, so block heels or wedges are a great choice.

Are all the wedding day events in one place?

Answer

Yes! Park once, party all night, and walk straight to bed. The ceremony, reception, after party, and hotel are all on the same property.

We love your little ones, but we’re keeping the celebration adults-only so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation includes a guest, it will appear when you RSVP. Otherwise, we can’t wait to celebrate just with you!

What will the weather be like? Is any part of the wedding outdoors?

Answer

May in Virginia is usually mild, but weather can be unpredictable. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting), with the reception indoors.

Is the ceremony unplugged (no phones/photos)?

Answer

Yes, please! We kindly ask that phones and cameras stay tucked away during the ceremony. We’ve hired an amazing photographer and promise to share the photos.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Drinks at the wedding are on us! For other celebrations like the welcome party and after party, drinks will be available for purchase. We recommend bringing some cash to tip our awesome bartenders—they deserve it!

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! Kick off the weekend with us at Old Bust Head Brewery on Thursday night. Enjoy house-made beer and sodas available for purchase. Come and go as you please, and please drink responsibly as you’ll need to drive home.

Will there be an After Party?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to join us at Harry’s after the reception to keep the party going. It’s a quick walk down the hill, with drinks available for purchase.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

You won’t need transportation on the wedding day since everything is on-site and walkable. For the welcome party, please plan to drink responsibly and have a safe ride home.
