Everything happens for a reason... The year was 2015, Karina decided to sign up for a business management class a year in advance required for a junior. There was a 50% chance, but both Matthew and Karina chose the same side of the classroom to sit on. Each class, they sat in the same seats, Matthew closer to the front as a typical extrovert, and Karina one row behind. As usual, for any business mgt class, weekly group projects were required. Groups were paired off depending on who sat closest to each other and, again, by chance Matthew and Karina were a part of a four person group solving weekly problems/projects. A couple weeks prior to the end of the semester, the groups were required to present and integrate an interactive activity. One group had a Q&A portion, and when someone answered correctly they were handed a chocolate kiss. Matthew answered many of their questions and continued to pass his chocolate kisses to Karina. At the end of the last class, Matt stopped Karina on their way out of the room sparking a conversation about the Sales Club he was the president of. Being so bold, he asked her to join, which she declined... and so he re-directed the conversation asking if she would like to get coffee sometime. Karina thinking on her feet replied, "I don't really know you..." and Matt being his quick witted self responded, "Well you can get to know me!" Long story short, the coffee date never happened and instead love was sparked at a local college bar, called Scorpion's Bar & Grill. Since 2016, many coffee dates have since happened and a lifetime of coffee dates to follow.
