We met in 2014 at Tony's fraternity house when I stopped by to see some friends. It wasn't very long before I met Tony, and we hit it off immediately. If you know Tony and I, you know we love making little bets. It started that night - he taught me how to play “what are the odds” and we agreed if I lost the game, I would jump into the neighboring fraternity’s pool. Of course, I lost. Luckily, Tony took it easy on me and we jumped in together. It’s been almost ten years, and I still can’t believe how lucky it was that we met that night. This place holds a special magic for us, and we’re so excited to share that with you and to celebrate our wedding with you! Love, Roz
San Luis Obispo is a very special place to both Roz and I – it’s where we met, where we fell in love, and where we share so many fond memories. I had known for a long time that SLO was where I was going to propose to her. My plan was to recreate one of our most memorable dates back in college where we went on a hike behind the school's campus. The trail itself was remarkable, but what made that date so memorable was our conversation the entire way. We had so much to learn about one another – who our families and friends were, our interests, and the experiences we’ve had. We laughed, learned, and started to realize we were falling for each other. The day for the proposal had finally come, and we headed up to SLO with plans of hiking that same trail. Turns out, I remembered too much of the conversations we had on that date and not the actual hike, so this time the hike turned out to be much longer and more treacherous than the first time. Bushwhacking, trekking through thorns, and dead ends ensued but we eventually made it to the top. At the top we reminisced on our past, and I dropped down on my knee to make plans for our future. Love, Tony
