FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love for you to dress up with us! Guests are encouraged to wear formal attire. For men, this means suits or button down shirts with dress pants and a tie or bowtie. For women, floor-length gowns, elegant cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are appropriate.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Once invites are sent out in early January, the RSVP tab will open on our website. Please visit this tab and RSVP by March 1st!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Parent's night out! This will be an adult only event. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Is there parking available for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

St. Mary's has a small parking lot just south of the church near the parish office. There is also street parking on New Jersey & Vermont street (~ $1.50-$2.50 per hour). Do NOT park in the Needler's grocery store parking lot across the street; you might get towed! For the reception, there is a parking garage connected to the Regions tower off of Ohio street. Parking is $15 for the evening, which is similar to other garage fees around the city.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at St. Mary's church by 2:15 pm as the mass will begin promptly at 2:30 pm.

Question

What can I do during the time between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

The ceremony will likely end around 3:30 and the cocktail hour will start at 5:30 pm. During this time, guests are welcome to check into their hotels, grab a drink at a nearby bar, or explore downtown Indianapolis! See the "Things To Do" page for our favorite places.

Question

Is the reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Hopefully both! Weather permitting, dinner will be held indoors but dancing and other activities will be held out on the rooftop area of the Regions tower! Heat lamps and fire pits are available if the weather is cooler. If you get chilly or want to take a break from the outdoor festivities, the indoor area will be open the entire duration of the night.

Question

How do I get to the rooftop venue for the reception?

Answer

Once you arrive at the Regions tower, the elevators to the rooftop are located on the opposite side of the building from the doors on Pennsylvania street (the east side of the building). You can enter through the doors on Pennsylvania and take the east side elevator to the 5th floor.
