The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of our favorite places in the city. We spend a lot of time wandering the galleries, and going to events since John serves on the Young Professionals Board. It’s a beautiful museum filled with an incredible range of art, from timeless classics to exciting contemporary pieces, and it’s the perfect spot to spend a quiet afternoon during your visit.
Ripple Wine Bar in O’Bryonville will always be special to us — it’s where we had our very first date. It’s a cozy spot with great wine, delicious small plates, and the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening out.
The Cincinnati Reds will be in town during our wedding weekend! Catch a Reds game to experience the oldest professional baseball team. Grab a beer, enjoy a hot dog, and soak in one of the best summer traditions Cincinnati has to offer.
Brown Bear Bakery is our favorite spot to grab a pastry in the morning and stroll around town. Their treats are incredible - just be sure to get there early to snag the best ones before they sell out!
Paycor Stadium sits right along the Ohio River, and even though NFL season won’t have started yet, it’s a great area to explore. The nearby river walk offers beautiful views and an easy, scenic stroll through downtown Cincinnati.
Coffee Emporium is one of our go-to spots, with locations in both Hyde Park and downtown, but Julia especially loves the Hyde Park café for its patio. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea and relax for a bit during your visit.
Krohn Conservatory is a place we love to visit. We love wandering through its lush, peaceful spaces, especially during the Butterfly Show or at Christmastime when the whole space is decorated for the season.
Birdies Coffee Company is a favorite weekend ritual for us since we live nearby. We love taking a leisurely walk to grab a coffee and pastry, making it the perfect start to a relaxed morning.
The Cincinnati Zoo is a special spot for us - it’s where we went on our second date and took our very first photo together. It’s a fun, beautiful place to explore, whether you’re there for the animals, the gardens, or just a great afternoon out.
Killer Queen is the bar where we first met, thanks to our friends introducing us there after a Bengals game. Great place to go after a major sporting event downtown, or to meet your future spouse.
The best bar in Mt. Adams - a cozy little spot to get a drink or two after hitting up the Art Museum
One of John and Julia's favorite bars...just missing a touchtunes
Best spot for really good espresso martinis and walking distance to a lot of great shops in OTR
We often head to this driving range near Lunken Airport to work on our swings. While we’re hitting balls, we can see planes coming in for landing right in front of us.
The WEBN Fireworks are happening this weekend and are one of Cincinnati’s biggest summer traditions. If you’re in town, it’s well worth checking out for an incredible fireworks show along the river and a lively, celebratory atmosphere.
