Kate and Ethan were first introduced through a mutual family friend while Kate was finishing her last semester of her junior year of college in California. Despite meeting long distance, both knew there was something between them and began their relationship over the phone until Kate moved back to Redmond that summer where they made their relationship official. Both had prayed to find someone strong in the Catholic faith and compliment each other’s personalities, and both can attest that finding each other was God’s plan by how seamless they fit together. Ethan surprised Kate with a proposal at Pronghorn resort where she simply thought they were having a date night at the restaurant. Before their reservation Ethan asked the waiter if he could take them to see the golf course, and when arriving on the 18th hole and looking around Kate turned around to Ethan down on one knee asking her to marry him. Through the teary eyes of excitement Kate said yes to the love of her life.
