Joey transferred into the same high school district as Royce and she was the Transfer Ambassador for him and a large group of students on their Orientation day. After Royce wrote her number on the whiteboard for students "in case of an emergency" (wink wink), Joey intentionally pursued Royce through texting, phone calls, flowers, and dates from that same evening on. After endless FaceTime calls sharing their life story, they knew this connection was always going to be something special. Knowing this, Joey asked Royce to be his girlfriend in their church's parking lot 1 month later after a Friday night football game. At 15 and 17 years old, they have pursued to create a loving, real relationship that glorifies God and experiences the abudant joy of doing life together. From sweet moments such as morning coffee dates to eating Chipotle in the car talking endlessly for hours about anything and everything, they can't have imagined a life of more laughter than by each other sides. From the hard moments of 2.5 years long distance or being in a Fire Academy and Nursing School together simultaneously, they knew their relationship could weather many storms. From the messy moments that life has brought them individually in their testimony, they learned their lives must be commited to God firstly. From every moment listed and every moment in between, the couple has grown up together and can't wait to grow old together one day too. In their engagement season, the couple has learned from wise counsel what biblically sound, healthy marriage looks like and cannot wait to step into this next chapter of their lives! They are confident of the callings the Lord has impressed upon their hearts, knowing that one of these callings is the ministry of their young love and marriage. They are so excited to celebrate with all their favorite people this Spring!
